• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I think it's possible they backed out of taking the SN. I don't see any reason why they would have bothered "crossing out" Metoclopramide and Tagamet (Cimetidine) but not Sodium Nitrite. They would have had ample time to do so. If they did back out, I don't blame them. That's the hardest part. Either way, I wish them well.

These threads are becoming much more common each passing day. To the point where it is hard to believe these people are actually attempting.

@HelensNepenthe Yeah, it's strange because it sounded as though this person was legit at first, but you would type something when you take it or whatever. I don't understand the motivation for posting a fake thread though...

Personally I don't understand the need to passively shame members who seemingly don't follow through just because your morbid curiosity wasn't fulfilled. All it really does is lessen the likelihood of them coming back to explain their experience, and dissuade future members from offering to help in this way. Kindly fuck off with that bullshit. @Walilamdzi

But I do understand the frustration.

I think it's pointless to speculate. If he did ctb, I wish he is in a better place now. If he didn't, I want him to know that there is no shame in backing out, if ctb was easy, none of us would be here.

@Darkhole It was a comment on the fact that a bunch of these threads have been appearing lately. I'm in no way attempting to "shame" this person, I wouldn't have any interest in them feeling negative if they opted not to do it.. so don't put words into my mouth.

If someone decides to post this kind of topic here, people will wonder what happened, because the thread subject is "hey I'm going to report what I'm feeling". If they intended to share their experience, why would they be offended that people are taking them up on hearing their experience? Personally if I decide this method is reliable enough, I will happily record it and send it to be part of Exit's research.

Also regarding what I said about fake threads, I'm not saying this one is one of those, like everyone here I don't know. It was a general statement about this kind of thing. With a lot of these topics are cropping up, it's good to treat it all with a healthy dose of skepticism. I posted on this previously if you want me to elaborate on this being a general concern. So I was actually saying that because in my opinion theres 0 motive to post a fake topic, maybe something else is going on.

^ I agree. I know when I ctb, I'm not gonna be making any goodbye thread here. Too many people arguing, making insensitive comments, or claiming it's fake, etc. Very toxic.

OP, wherever you are, hope you're at peace.

It's entirely up to you. No one should think that they have an obligation to make a goodbye thread.

Its ok just clarifying.

I would hate for my ctb thread too be polluted with senseless arguing. :mmm:

Yeah people should keep quiet for a while instead of asking stupid questions or saying irrevalant things. CTB is already too overwhelming and people just add to that.

If being skeptical about someone catching the bus with a method that already has a 'mileage may vary' disclaimer, I guess it's fine to be labeled toxic? Many people who have particularly gone with this method have copied and pasted directly from PPH. Whatever symptoms are labeled in PPH they just make a thread about. Not only that, who is to shame someone for being skeptical? It's a forum. We're members of a community who mostly* have the same idea. We're looking for that peaceful exit. Threads like these only damage the reputation of the method, because if the person resurfaces and followed the preliminary guide to end it all, well the method falls on its ass.

If someone dips and decides the time isn't right then that's good for them. However, just about with anything you read on this forum, you really should conduct outside sources before you put all the eggs in the basket. Especially with sodium nitrite being Nitschke's coined "peaceful pill".

Lets just not make any thread at all when CTB.
Whats the point? You might even get sidetracked from the users. (Good or bad)
This final moment should be done alone surrounded with only your thoughts, and personal reassurance.

Is anyone concerned that SN only has a reliability score of 6/10 in PPeH? Whereas azide is 9/10 and N 10/10. 6/10 means 40% fail. And, contrary to what I have seen in most SN posts in this forum ( that the effects of a SN attempt are reversible), I have read a few other posts here stating the deprivation of oxygen resulting from a SN attempt, can result in brain damage. I don't want to end up worse off than I am now. I want to use SN and hope I am wrong, but it is very risky and I am considering azide or trying to get N.

Exactly why I'd never do something like this. We humans (myself included, I'm not an exception) have this morbid curiosity about what happens when someone tries to die. Some mask the feeling by wishing them well, bit deep inside it's like back in medieval times when people enjoyed watching a person burning in the stake. Humanity is disgusting, I ain't gonna give anyone that morbid pleasure.

it's not the fact that he couldn't go through with it (i wish him well).........it's the "R.I.P" that people write on a thread like this........just an hour or so after the original poster goes quiet........like, that's it , he's done it........when in reality most members who say they are going to ctb are back on here a few days later!

This is a good point, I think the reasoning is some people want to contribute by easing the uncertainty that comes with this method and it's possible they don't want to go it completely alone.
