I'm wondering if you do N in a hotel room, should you lay down on the bed after, or sit back in the comfy chair (if they have one in the room)?

On the bed should you put pillows so your head/back is kind of sitting up, or should you lay flat on the bed with no pillow? Body under covers or over covers?

I've read about people who OD on drugs and then when they pass out, their body could be in a position that kills blood flow to a limb so then they have physical problems after. I'd be really scared about failing an attempt with N and then having an issue like that, where I have to be in a wheelchair or something.

Anyone know?

Also, if you did N in a hotel room, should you put the lock on the door as well as the DND slip on the handle? Or just the DND notice?

Good question. You don't want to fall out of a chair. Possibly the N will be better/faster absorbed if you are sitting. Lying down would seem mroe natural.

In the dignitas documentary, the smiling gentleman was semi recumbent on a bed with several pillows. He sat fully upright to enjoy the anaesthetic and chocolate then reclined slightly to smile at his relatives

Of the two Dignitas videos on youtube, Smedley was sitting, Causse was laid down on a bed. I'm led to believe that the more supported you are, the better for speeding respiratory failure, but l suspect these margins are so small that it doesn't matter; I'd prefer to go as l would in my sleep, laid down, looking as comfortable as possible.

Would you worry about rolling over though?

Bump...

Is there a risk of vomiting if lying down vs. sitting up?
