Should I join a cult

I'm already stuck in a cult called capitalism and I'm kinda done with it so I'm looking for something new to try

Very interesting. I've had thoughts about this too. I know cults have a bad rep for "targeting" vulnerable and desperate people (and how much more vulnerable can you get than being suicidal?). I understand the backlash (from prior incidents) but I also understand why people seek out these cults. I wish I could find an organization filled with like-minded individuals who also share the same opinions and worries about life. I wish to join a group of people who can guarantee to completely change my life and remove all problems from it. If that's the definition of a cult then so be it.

Tbh I wouldn't even mind if i was cut off from the outside world. I feel that way already and the outside world has done nothing for me.

I'm an adherent of Heaven's Gate teachings, so I guess I'm already in one, even though the group technically no longer exists. It would be cool to drop everything of this world and join an isolated group in the pursuit of evolving beyond human. Incidentally, it was also this group that really set me down the path of becoming a misanthrope, thereby adding fire to my desire to die.

Idk much about politics and all that but I feel like capitalists insist on defining the result of socialism using capitalistic standards and that makes no sense to me.

Honestly? When I read about that Heaven's Gate death cult, I wish I could join them lol, as as far I know there's no actual abuse and the ex-members actually could leave and had great time within the group. Plus they did go relatively peaceful as far as suicide methods goes.

I think people feel safe being in a group where everybody believes the same thing. Also where the basic premise is that the group is right and everybody else is wrong.
