Help Should I Go to a Residential Facility? Honest.

I have talked about this in previous posts, but I told one of my doctors that I have a self-harm addiction. She is worried, but she promised she won't take me to a hospital because she knows if I were to go, I'd come out worse. She did mention how a residential facility could be good. I have been thinking about it, and a part of me wants to go. I am going to cause extreme harm if I don't get help.

I haven't told my family about it. I am scared to tell them.

I feel guilty for wanting to go, not because of my family, but because sometimes those facilities are frowned upon.

What should I do? Should I go to one or try to work it out with my doctors here? Honest.

Possibly? I don't know enough about you, your situation, or the facility. If you're willing and able then it sounds like it could be worth trying. I'd say discuss it with your doctor more to get a better idea of what it would look like and potential consequences. I hope things improve regardless of what you choose.
