Should I delete my social media?

Hi everyone. I am thinking I will ctb sometime this month, not really sure. I was wondering if I should delete my social media's before I go? And should I leave a suicide note? I want to leave one but what if I am found and saved and they find my note, how embarrassing lol. Also wanted to ask if I will be on the news locally? Since I live in a small town or are suicides never really published on news?

I wouldn't recommend deleting social media accounts, if you change your mind you'll have to restart from scratch and there's also a chance somebody might notice and become concerned which raises its own problems. My partner deleted his and I knew he intended to ctb so he ended up having a welfare check/section. Depends on the towns in relation to posting of it, it's hard to say but it'll normally be buried under more critical news (ie. Covid related atm)
It is up to you whether you leave a note or not, as that depends if you want to tell someone anything or you'd feel you'd want them to know something.

Personally, I'm writing a blog as my own kind of note/story. There's many other ways to give a note without it being bluntly there.

I hope you make a decision you feel right for you, but personally if you haven't thought this through or researched I'd reconsider for a while.

You can 'deactivate' rather than 'delete' an account, just incase

With Facebook at least, you can specify in settings whether you want your account either deleted or memorialised after your death. They just have to be notified by someone and provided with a death notice or other documentation. So it's really up to you whether you want that around after your death.

Delete social media regardless of whether you stay or go.Maybe deleting it would make you less suicidal,believe it or not.

Ive waffled back and forth on notes..I will leave one with instructions,I constantly rework it,as I am a nutcase and my life seems to change rapidly.I will have some things Im leaving behind,and want to clarify things.I doubt anyone will care anyway,which makes me pissed.But hey.

If you live in a "small town" your suicide will be broadcast everywhere..If not on media,by word of mouth.

I may be naive but what difference does it make if ur social media ac is active or deleted once u ctb... Guess ur passwords are known only to u so the a/c can't be misused.
