Literally my thoughts as well, I wouldn't even be capable of doing that, a person is gonna have to have some mega arm reach to accomplish this.
A headshot is a headshot. It does more to do with the ammo type and where you aim. For a handgun, hollow point rounds. For a shotgun, a slug will do the trick. If you want to do this and have no other option, I would suggest 357. Magnum Revolver as its one of the most powerful handguns out there. Average cost is 300-550 dollars, although it can be even more expensive than that Like 1000+ dollars. Use hollow point rounds and aim just behind your ear. This will end you. Now for a shotgun, you can get these cheaper than the magnum if you look in the right places. 250-450 dollars aprox. I'd personally recommend a 12 gauge. But shotguns are shotguns, so the model is relative to the strongest ammo type is can hold. Use a slug of the highest caliber available for the gun, then aim inside the dead center roof of the mouth at a 45 degree angle. It should be aimed to go through the back of your head and hit the brainstem. This is the quickest but tbh a shotgun blast is near fatal in the majority of cases. VERY few survive, and if they do, its because they pointed straight up where only the frontal lobe and face get blasted off. But even then, you will very likely bleed out to death within minutes. Why take the chance though? You can also aim behind the ear with this method too. Finally watch out for flinching. It happens when you 'cower' before the barrel and try to instictively push it away half second before pulling the trigger. Practice your choosen aiming position with dry firing, which is shooting without any ammo. MAKE SURE THE GUN IS COMPLETELY UNLOADED BEFORE DOING THIS. Many people have accidently killed themselves thinking the gun was unloaded and playing around with it. So check once, check twice, and check again. Anyway, this is just info based on my own research. I am not an expert on anything so think considerably before taking action. Research everything I have said before you do anything and get it right.
