Shotgun method: will wrapping my head in duct tape help make the cleanup a bit…less horrible?

Hello, I am planning on taking my tent out to the middle of the woods and CTB via shotgun in the mouth because I don't want to ruin my apartment and traumatize other residents. My plan is to take the gun and one single buckshot cartridge in case god forbid someone finds my body before the police. I just feel so bad for the cleaning crew/police (or whoever comes to the scene) and wanted to ask if anyone has ever heard of someone sort of wrapping their head up to keep as much of it together as possible (but I know it's still going tot be very messy and I won't realistically have a head left lol) I know this is the worst scenario for someone to find my body but it's the only one I feel comfortable with.

That was my thought as well. I have a colleague whose boss ending up wrapping his head in a shower curtain before he pulled the trigger (9mm though) that sort of kept things together and made less of a mess. I suppose the only way to find out is try.

Don't bother with traumatizing the other people. The people who will attend will of been desensitized. Make sure you clear your head of any doubts and whatever you decide take the action you think is needed. Duck tape and focusing on, other things is just totally unneeded in my opinion.

Duct tape might keep your skull fragments from scattering as widely, but it won't hold your brain matter together, and that's what's really messy. I expect the effect would be like wrapping an eggshell in duct tape and then smashing the egg on the sidewalk. The shell might mostly hold together, but all that liquidy stuff is still going to run out everywhere.

I've strongly favored the shotgun method myself for some time, and I always thought I'd go out in the woods somewhere, as you describe. I hadn't thought to bother with a tent. I was just going to walk out there, find a nice secluded spot, blow my brains out, and fall over. Nobody cleans up after suicides in the woods. Not meticulously, anyway. The police collect whatever significant parts of the body remain, plus anything close by that seems to have evidentiary value. That's really it. The rest is left to the elements and the animals.

Shotgun has a huge power at close range, imagine like you pull the trigger and with one shot you have numerous or dozens of projectiles flying from the end of the barrel. It has power to make your head into grounded meat, and i doubt that projectiles would loose power after exiting the skull, so if it is enough for flesh and bone, i strongly doubt that anything else than ballistic helmet, would withstand the power of projectiles...

No. A shotgun acts a lot like a bomb. If you wish to leave little cleanup, choose something else.

try probably ductaping really hard a trash bag, quite wide enough, with enough luck, it should barely have any holes, and it will extent with the gas/pressure of the gun shot, and should keep everything tidy, just tape it bellow the neck, above your nipples, so if your entire neck detatch, at least the bag will still be atttached, and LOTS OF DUCTAPE, because as you can imagine, the bag will be pushed full force. try maybe puting trash bags on trash bags if you can, but i mean, you know, cops are used to it, and to see 10 times worse, the tent by itself will keep most of the mess i think, so having multiple trashbags attached to your torso + ductape overlapping your head could be even more cleaner, but idk if it's gonna be really usefull, as they will still open the bag to see how exactly you died, and to see if it's not a murder disguised as a suicide attempt.
