I too had the intervention of the police, fortunately unarmed, but who, as police training requires, are authoritarian!
Finally, they insisted on calling the medical emergency services, as I felt unwell, they transported me in their vehicle, far from my neighbors (who are mean and dangerous), so that I could rest, while they call a doctor.
As I knew the law, and in particular international law, I told them that I knew that, if the police, doctors, relatives, etc., did not prevent someone from committing suicide, they risked the sanction, the prison, dismissal, and that if I had to leave, I would ensure that no one was prosecuted for "non-assistance to persons in danger", that affected them, and they did not insist on hospitalizing me.
There was an emergency doctor on the phone that the policeman held me, so that I didn't hold the phone (because I was weak, because physically ill, weakened by chores at home), I told him the same concerning laws to reassure him.
The police had thought that I had also become unwell, that I had fallen, possibly fatal, following my physical illnesses, when they had contacted my hospital, before coming to my home, in addition to having thought of a suicide.
On the other hand, I forbade everyone to contact my relatives, claiming that they are far from home, and could not see me, and that my doctors were already aware of my distress, and that I was looking for a way legal to be able to die abroad (Switzerland in this case with a VAD).
In my country, it seems to me that it is possible to call the fire brigade directly instead of the police for this kind of intervention, it would be less traumatic, but the person, anxious not to hear from me again, had called the police.
I had cut ties with all the members of my High IQ association, following the trauma I suffered, I wrote several threads in Sasu, about this, including with people who worried about me , because they knew that this association pushed other people to suicide!
In addition, I recited international laws, to the police, and to the doctor on the phone, that no one can prevent me from going abroad or in international waters (marine law), from disappearing, for CTB to at any time, and that, in fact, no one would be implicated for "non-assistance to persons in danger" since, from the point of view of my country, I have not committed any criminal offense (which could require me to be detained in my country ), and that I simply left, that I left their territory! You just have to be careful, when a loved one calls the authorities, that the police do not have the idea of sending my report to the authorities of other countries which have police or judicial partnerships, if the person is considered vulnerable, and so as if ominously gone.
Finally, the police took me shopping to eat and regain my strength.
Indeed, a "vulnerable" person is considered to have disappeared in a worrying way, which includes kidnappings, suspicions of terrorism, malicious acts, but also fragile, handicapped, suicidal people, adults under guardianship, mental illnesses... .
The other disappearances are considered voluntary, and, according to the law, as an adult right, a human right, therefore not requiring intervention or research.
Furthermore, I am surprised that SaSu has not created forums on voluntary disappearance, like "suicide discussion". Voluntary disappearance would be a way to protect themselves for CTB, far from any intervention by authorities, or to better have CTB's means peacefully, without being disturbed. Better still, the voluntary disappearance would allow to live a new life, which would be an alternative to the CTB, for the people who wanted it. There may be good reasons not to create this forum.
