  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

It's possible that my suicide would lead to the death of some of my family members but I don't care. Is that selfish? I don't care. What I know is that I feel alone. I feel like I'm going insane. When I reach out for help it feels like I'm begging for attention and wasting people's time. I'll soon reach a point where I'll give up on everything. Researching painless suicide methods seem to be hindering the process so let's choose a painful but effective suicide method. I'm so pissed these days it's awful.

I think that living for the sake of other people can sometimes be a virtue… Especially if it were your own children. It might even give your life purpose and meaning. But at the end of the day it's your life and it's your choice. I am sorry that it has come to this for you.

Dude couldn't you spend a little time here with us? Maybe your being able to talk to others freely, without fear of censure, would help. There are plenty of people to talk to. Much love to you.

It helps. I experience writer's block when I blog but words pour out of me here. It's a good sign.

Relax, deep breaths......your among people who feel as you do. Those of us feel and think similarly, find no small relief in being to discuss the things that trouble us.

The way that I see it, it could never really matter to us what happens in this world once we are gone as we simply wouldn't be there at that point. Death and loss are simply inevitable in life and we will all die and lose everything someday after all. We all have our right to exit this world for when the time is right and when to leave is a personal decision.

I get that suicide can be hard to deal with for those left behind but I don't believe the way that you feel is selfish. We were all forced into this world without any choice anyway, and it can certainly be dreadful having to endure a life that you hate. If someone wants to leave it all behind then there is nothing wrong with that, it's up to them.

Are you a caretaker? If someone genuinely can't survive without you, can you make plans to get them at least some temporary help?

I don't think you are selfish. You are in charge of your own life and have a right to feel the way you feel.

No. An elderly family member worries over me and I have a suicidal friend that looks up to me. My suicide would severely impact her health and my friend would want to walk in my footsteps.

Okay, I think those are valid things to worry about. But you don't know what will happen after you are dead. You could discourage your friend from following you in a note, but they are going to make their own decisions.

My mother has always said that suicide is selfish and so I never really considered it until I felt there were no other realistic options. I am going to leave something explaining myself to her, but she may never forgive me and I'm sure it will be very painful for her. I've stayed here this long to avoid disappointing her, but at a certain point, we are adults and our lives are in our hands.
