I want to introduce myself with my first post after having spent many hours reading the vast amount of helpful and knowledgeable discussions on here and deciding to register.

This forum is such an invaluable resource for demystifying each method individually in a way that no other place has. Everyone also seems so empathetic and supportive, it's really helpful when going through such a tough time. I want to be a part of that support, which is another reason I am posting.

I am grateful to have found this before jumping into one. I was dead set on opiate + benzo + clonidine OD until I made a deeper dive and realized although it would be extremely peaceful - it's just too unpredictable - and therefore very dangerous (hypoxic injury etc). I came very close on multiple occasions.

Now that my plan has to change my stress has significantly increased. I have spent a good amount of time researching each method, at least enough to understand them on a surface level. However, I'm struggling to land on one that doesn't significantly scare me. I'm not asking for advice on which one to choose but rather if anyone has had this issue and can comment.

Looking at the pros and cons of each method makes my head spin.. it seems like something that has a high success when done correctly requires you to either overcome extreme SI (jumping, train), create an apparatus that has multiple failure points relying on technical skills (inert gas, CO) or is just something entirely impossible to obtain (N).

If I could get access to a firearm or N, I think I could do it. Same if I knew my OD cocktail would for sure work.

I'm leaning towards SN but the most reliable resource seems to have literally just removed it last week. Also concerning is that in the PPH (2019 edition at least), the reliability is rated only at 6/10.

I don't know how to proceed and would really appreciate input. Apologies for the long post. Thanks to anyone who reads this for their time and compassion.

Yep, you definitely have the crux of the matter. You didn't put hanging on your list, I assume you did some pros and cons for it and just didn't happen to list?

Good luck.

I have problems with my neck and it's always been concerning that to practice the partial suspension and get the ligature right, I would have to likely hurt myself and then if for some reason I can't get it right, I'm in a worse spot with pain. I could maybe do it if I had a backup entirely ready. But I might end up not having a choice either way, since it's almost like a kind of a middle ground between everything. A full suspension is just too much SI to overcome for me. Still hoping to maybe find SN and possibly find a way to increase the likelihood of it working somehow. But it's looking bleak..
