  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I just want to sell out my funeral

I plan on doing this for various reasons as a precaution. I have heart disease and smoke weed and although I don't have any diagnosed problems with my lungs nor any issues taking deep breaths nor any issues with my o2 levels, peak flow, etc, I am playing it safe in case I decline in function before i use the bag.

I am taking the following precautions
- 80cf tank as opposed to 20cf. this way if it takes me longer to lose consciousness, i'm covered.
- considering a hood/diving equipment instead of a bag- anyone have any evidence which is faster to lose consciousness?
- bronchodilator before catching the bus
- breathing exercises leading up to the attempt
- tying hands so I can't remove the bag

which brings me to my question- have you guys got any ideas how to tie my hands once the bag/hood is over my head?
bump

The only thing that comes to mind is possibly a large zip-tie, or maybe a few smaller ones linked together. Should theoretically have time to pull it tight before losing consciousness. Its a tricky one since you would presumably have a very short window to act in once the bag was in place. Probably best to have it pre-threaded so you can just slip your hands through and tighten.

Inert gas mega thread says the Hood takes about three minutes to lose consciousness, and you must fill the Hood with Nitrogen first(otherwise takes 6 minutes)--Exit Bag less than a minute

My chair for nitrogen. Something that you slip your arms under near the elbow, if possible. If you are near out cold....your arms will just lift up not back..so it should work.

this is exactly what I was looking for, thank you!! I dreamed of ctb in my bed but it doesn't seem that's the best idea with slumping down and potentially out of the bag, etc.
