Just don't know where to go from here. I've done 24 sessions with an amazing psychologist but now that I have some paperwork I'm thinking of pursuing euthanasia. Quite high scoring in a lot of areas on the test.

She told me at the end she wasn't sure it she had the skillset to help me and her supervisor encouraged her to go with it.
Most clinicians don't see this in their lifetime as we don't reach out for help or are dead by now.

I'm in Europe so Switzerland is looking like an option for me now if I can save fast enough.

I've had 6 attempts and been suicidal for over 20 years. Now I have evidence that my psyche is f'd and maybe ill get approved for euthanasia.

i don't really believe tests like that have any validity and mostly they just serve to extract resources from patients

i am sure 99 percent of people who take the test end up with a result that suggests they need to pay more money to the mental/psychiatric industry

this world is extremely cruel, however, especially for people who are different somehow, so if this helps you to apply for euthanasia and you're unhappy and want the pain to stop, then i guess that's good

i wish this existence weren't so awful for so many

Mine assessment was free through the mental health services in my country along with the therapy so I wouldn't buy too much into the make you seem more sick so you spend more money.

I have bipolar and my injection, psychiatric care including hospital stays are all.covered by our taxes

not nice that a hotline said you were hopeless, they should say 'not sure what to say' vs making it sound like nothing can be said

Yes but they still get paid more by by the government, don't they?if they diagnose you and you need more intensive treatment, tests and medication then they will get paid more as well.

It's a good thing you don't have to pay out of pocket at least.

I agree that sounds really odd that the hotline would make those comments to you.

I said back to him "that's great to hear" in a sarcastic tone and he just went on about how he wasn't going to bullshit me in his words

even if you aren't personally paying for it, someone is paying more for more resources to go to big pharma and the psychiatric and mental health industry

i have never, in the history of my boring painful existence, heard someone say anything like:

"i took a psychological assessment. it said i am fine and should not spend any more time or energy with mental health professionals, and instead put more time and effort into hobbies."

it just doesn't happen.

My angry reaction is about what the caller said to you, not about being angry at you btw. I just wanted to clarify that

It also doesn't say "part of the reason for your depression is because the system is so broken and the help that is constantly promised to you by many different providers hasn't been delivered on and you don't have a support system that listens to you & helps with what you ask for help with which many non-depressed people do have and is part of their resources to help them navigate the broken system so they don't have to do it alone & have advocates to stand up for them & help take some of the pressure off or willing to assist them in an emergency and losing parts of that would probably cause them depression & mental illness too even if they didn't have it before"

P.S. Does anyone know how I make replies to 2 different people be 2 separate comments?
