Safely synthesizing sodium nitrite

Hello,
I'm not sure if this type of post is allowed, after reading the rules I believe it is, but if it's not please let me know and I'll take it down asap.

If anyone could please PM me on how to safely synthesize sodium nitrite from sodium nitrate it would be much appreciated. I'm terrified that it will pose fire and other risks to other people, such as exposure to poisonous chemicals from contaminated environment.

I want to do it safely and ensure no risks are posed to other people.
