S nitrite, alternatives for cimetedine??

Dears, can we use baking soda (the previous PPH suggestion before SN ingestion) as last option for cimetedine(latest PPH suggestion before SN ingestion), when cimetedine is not obtainable?..Or atleast can we use alkaline foods, like almonds, to prevent acidity?... Or have any better idea?

I heard about Ranitidine as an alternative to cimetedine, which should be OTC in most places.

Thank you dears, I got ranitidine(ranitin 150mg), metoclopramide(perinorm 10mg)
And have one doubt only, Is ranitidine need to take same amount as cimetedine?(800 mg as prescribed in PPH).

Many shops didnt gave me without priscription, but atlast one shop gave me.
