Help Rope for partial hanging

How long should my rope be for partial hanging if i'm putting the rope over the door? What type of rope should I get?

I'd like to know too. I may CTB impulsively, so I'm considering hanging, even I don't like the idea, but I don't have a gun.

Long enough too long doesn't mstter. Just make sure its thick enough 22 mm at lesst to avoid painful neck bite. Consider s shirt or even light sweater around your neck for better comfort

People recommend 10-14mm in terms of rope, is 22mm really enough to do the job better?

i would go for Nylon or Polyester around 12mm

People recommend 10-14mm in terms of rope, is 22mm really enough to do the job better?

I think i used 8mm and it was way too thin (not thick. stupid autocorrect) hurt my neck. Frankly I dont know the best size I just got myself a thicker one might be 16 mm. I22 was probably typo.
