Wow. Can't believe it's been ten years to the day... Very much a "Where were you?" moment. Yeah it was the middle of the year. Too sunny, too hot. I remember my mom telling me at our first apartment, I said something like, "You're joking..." Guess that was my only excuse I could spit out because I knew that couldn't be true... He was fine. He wasn't 93... He was still doing movies and just did a tv show. (Apparently while having trouble remembering the lines.) She obviously was stupidly somehow joking. But my mom wouldn't joke like that... (In fact, this was the second time she told me one of my male fantasy heros had died smh.) It was horrible. I asked her how? She told me. Looked it up. The world wasn't mistaken. There was no misreporting or a hoax. I was devastated, again. God it sucked. Still sucks... Man, to think some of yall never saw him get his Oscar in real time, got to follow his career in real time, or maybe even knew he came from stand up and Mork and Mindy. Having him on VHS for god's sake. There was no youtube to watch his interviews and stand up yet, or to put up your re-enactments of Mrs. Doubtfire popping up with a cake mask... No. If you wanted to see his new movie you had to GO sit in a theater by god or else wait to GO to a video store to rent the dvd... @derpyderpins just mentioned the other day about his appearance in Law&Order: SVU. That was a cool surprise. Unless you're a fan of that show, you probably haven't seen that cameo. Makes me cry every time... damn it. Good Morning Vietnam was special too. (Even seeing him as that creepy pedophile photographer was shocking and disgusting, yet mesmerizing. I can't remember how it ended... Have to watch it again.) Also made me cry. Horrible to see a legend be broken down like that. What a brilliant mind. Turns out he reminds me of my dad. Also gone.
Came across this article.
Surprised me the son did an interview. https://www.usatoday.com/story/ente...robin-williams-anniversary-death/74676115007/
Well, where were you when you heard?
What's your fav movie of his?
I debated on where to post this, but think this crowd probably needs him the most.

I have memory issues so I don't remember where I was, jbut I do remember how it made me feel. He was such a free spirit.

The more I learned about his condition the happier I was for him, that he was able to stop what must have been terribly scary feeling. Dementia type illnesses TERRIFY me.

I just watched a episode of Dark Side Of Comedy last night on Vice. 😥 I didn't know he was suffering from dementia.
If anyone gets Vice, it will probably run again. They seem to air shows over and over.
I don't remember where I was but I was shocked.

No, but I think I had saved it. Whoa I just remembered I have yet to watch this! Inside the Actor's Studio 2008. Actor's Studio used to be a big deal. Serious actors only. (Bradley Cooper was once a student in the audience. Then appeared years as the guest years later.) I've had it for months but too sad to watch. Maybe now I have to..
