You could drop a billion dollars on me and I wouldn't care. I would mainly use it to buy myself super expensive good food every single day, but other than that nothing would change. I can see how a lot of money would help with who can't go by from month to month. Money would fix a lot of issues for them which in turn would fix their mental state as well. However, I would much rather be poor and have a functioning normal brain that can form relationships than a golden mansion.

Same 100%. Thankfully I didn't have a ton of need for money growing up and obviously if I turned out like this that's obviously not the issue in my case.

Money would solve all my problems why I consider CTB / must CTB eventually. Thankfully atm I don't have any problems that cannot be fixed with money. That doesn't mean that later on in life I'd not have to deal with such problems and then CTB would certainly be an option again.

I honestly don't know. If I have a lot of money to where I'll never have to work for a day in my life, I may just want to live. If I have lots of money to where I won't ever need to put any effort in and deal with humans, I'd live on. The reason why I want to be dead in the first place is because me putting in any effort is so exhausting and being rich enough to never work again would get rid of that. Though of course I'd probably have to be a billionaire and I feel like you're talking about millionaire rich levels. In the case of the latter, I'd still want to ctb

I would want to cease existing no matter what on my own terms, I don't believe existence could ever be desirable under any circumstances. I have no interest in being a a slave to suffering in this decaying flesh prison that can potentially torture us to unlimited amounts, in my case wanting death is all that makes sense as existence is just so futile and burdensome, no matter what I'd see it as better to die as nobody can suffer from non-existence. I see it as a curse to be conscious and aware, existence is just unnecessary in the first place and ceasing to exist solves all problems there was never a need for.

If we define rich as "having enough money to live with comfort and security until the end of your life, plus have enough money to finance creative and meaningful projects", then no. Then I'd just help as many people as I can stop suffering.

hmm.. That's an interesting question.
With that amount, there are ways to manage a messed up brain, but i agree that it might not cure it.
In theory, it may make delay CTB, but it is also possible that by creating that delay, the urge to CTB might be repressed or in some instances, perhaps gone entirely.
With the experiences and material stuff money can grant me access to, frankly there is a possibility it might.
Im not poor by any means, but i havent experienced being rich either so I can't say it won't remove the urge.

I'm not rich but went from homeless on and off as a kid to upper-middle class as an adult. My husband makes enough that I only have to work about 20 hours a week. 12 year old me would beat my ass for being ungrateful but what can you do. Money didn't rid of my bipolar 1 or autism, my struggles with weight and employment, and years and years of trauma. I sometimes wonder if being truly rich would finally do the trick and make me happy but probably not.

I'd move into a bigger home, hire a chef and somebody who'll re-structure my training, executive dysfunction made it impossible to either cook or train in a meaningful way and since sport is the only thing I have left and care about (with nutrition being the base for it) it would help massively.
In the end it doesn't matter, money will carry these problem a certain distance but won't fix them. I'd kms either way, just a bit later.

Normally I'm not an optimist but honestly, I have confidence that being rich would make my life good enough to not want to CTB. My primary reason for wanting to CTB is not being able to move out from my shitty parents because of money, and the second reason is my soul-crushing job that I only do for money.

You can't live without money that's for sure I mean you can live but with struggle but money can't fix trauma it's not " fix your brain" it's "well-being" money is not going to make you happy! I'm considered rich but I'm here!!!
