The plan is to buy some charcoal and light in a chimney starter. After 25 minutes, I pour em into a metal bucket (we have one that we use for ashes from our fireplace that I feel will work) and then let them sit in my truck for another 25 minutes. It's an extended cab Chevy Silverado so I think it's small enough to fill up well but large enough to let me lay comfortably. While waiting, I plan on taking a few Benadryl, a few oxycotin, and a few gabapentin so that I'll pass out fast and hard once I'm in there. I will leave notes taped to the windows so that whoever finds me knows to not open the doors.

Anyone see any flaws or have any other tips for this?

I would suggest doing it at night so there are less people around and also it would be harder to be seen during that time. Other than that, I could not think of anything else.

I'm blessed to live in the middle of nowhere but yes, I wanna do it at night. I'm hoping I have the balls to do it tonight.

I'm very sorry about whatever has led you to contemplate this. If you don't feel ready tonight, don't rush this, okay? I wish you the best possible outcome for you.

Thank you, Soul. It's been a lot of things. My life has always been hardship after hardship and after a recent heartbreak I genuinely feel like my own negative thoughts about myself are true.

I just got back from Lowe's where I was able to get Royal Oak briquettes, the chimney fire starter, and a battery for my carbon monoxide detector. My dad called to let me know that I'll be home alone until Saturday. Things seem to have fallen into place for me to do this over the next few days. I'm going to take a long walk to think about this all and then take it from there, you're right about not rushing.

I have wanted to try this, seems peaceful, but I worry I would need powerful sleep meds otherwise I'd stay awake from nerves.

Don't underestimate the power of Benadryl. High enough doses can have you hallucinating.
I'm thinking about making an account somewhere to livestream it - if it works, people will have a video to follow. I wish I had one to ease the nerves.

Have everything ready for tonight, folks. Gun for backup but it's a last resort.

Despite being emotional enough for suicide, logic has not left my mind. So I bought a detector that will measure the amount of CO so that there are no mistakes. I've read that 3200ppm is where it needs to be for unconsciousness in 30mins and death within another 30. If I can get it there, I'll hop in the truck and end this all. Now that the sun is down (It's 8:40pm here) my nerves are starting to kick in. Please hope and pray for my success. I don't want to do one more day in this world.

lol diphenhydramine just makes me dizzy and hyper so I end up thrashing around like a crazy person. It would make a hilarious and disturbing ctb video.

I'm a coward. It got to near 600 and I punked out.

Decided to do it in my bathroom instead of the truck. Saw that my weatherstripping was bad on one side and couldn't stand the thought of my dogs walking over and getting sick or dying because of me. I could've taped it up but the risk of fire hazard scared me too. Maybe I'll just wait until Friday...my mom comes home Saturday so none of the animals will starve or run out of water. If I get drunk in addition to the pills (1hr later and I'm still wide awake) I hope that I'll have the guys to walk in and ignore the smell of the charcoal.

Sorry for posting so much. I have nowhere and no one to vent to. The loneliness is crushing.

Maxed out at 999 but I'm getting in now. If resurrection is a real thing, I hope I come back as one hell of a man. Love you all.

I survived carbon monoxide poisoning from my car..... It has left me with confused thinking at times that has gotten better. At first it was really bad. I also have permanent asthma from it.

My emergency room bill was for around $8000 dollars for one day in critical care. I was pissed off to have survived( and still am). Then to top it off, a huge medical bill.
