Does anyone know how close SN tastes compared to regular salt? I'm practicing mixing 20mg of regular salt into 50mg of water and keeping it in my mouth to get used to the taste. The question is, how close do the two substances taste?

And to answer your question how close regular salt and SN taste I would say SN is much saltier and has a chemically bitter taste from what I've read of the various accounts on here. I'm sure there are survivors of this method that could describe it better than me. But remember to do your own research and use the search function.

Are you mixing 20 grams or miligrams? I think you can also od on salt or at least have pretty bad diarheea if you are doing 20 grams.
Hmm whatever the recommended dose of SN for a regular weight person is. I thought it's 20g.
You first said 20 mg and was envious on your master level skill of measuring.
Well I'm not actually ingesting the salt solution, just have it in my mouth so I have an idea what to expect with SN. It does help actually- I did it a few times, and each time the solution tasted less 'salty".
Basically numbing your mouth to the taste. I do hope it's a different batch every time and not the same one.

out of curiosity and to get myself a little used to it for my ctb plan on saturday I just tried 25g regular salt in 50ml water. I didn't really drink it, only sip it, and it wasn't that bad. but the main point of the experiment was to see how difficult it is to get the taste out of my mouth. so immediately after sipping I washed my mouth with tab water and spit it out and that was already better. then I ate 1 chocolate merci mini (size is a bit less than half a regular merci) and that helped perfectly. I know SN is more intense and bitter than regular salt but if it helps that much against regular salt then it should help enough against the SN taste if I wash my mouth before that (without actually drinking it). you're not supposed to eat before SN but I've read several times that eating a tiny bit of chocolate to help with the taste is fine, is that correct?

As for me, it was not great. The saltiness made my throat hurt and I dont have much tolerance to salty things.

yes regarding the throat burn I guess it makes a huge difference if I just sip a bit or actually drink and swallow everything

I dont think it will make a difference as in my experience of trying both, the liquid still passes the esophagus therefore will still burn it no matter what amount.

it's like drinking salt water on steroids. it tastes so salty you gag instantly. since you have to mix it with a small quantity of water the concentration is so high. that was my worst part of the entire experience i had attempting with SN, was the taste
