As far as it seems to me she's not exactly happy to be alive but I understand.

No, he certainly does not.

She is still facing the same problems that lead her to attempt to end her life and now she has brain damage and a $125,000 hospital bill too.

I have nothing but contempt for pro-lifers and their smug, selfish attitudes.

i read this earlier today too. it made me irrationally angry and i had to do something to distract myself. the mindset the pro-lifer has is just so stupid. don't they feel any sort of guilt for it? and are we supposed to feel sorry for them when they mention not being able to have sex with their husband when they literally gave someone brain damage? who would care about that?

the whole perspective of the poster being a "hero" that "saved" her when they effectively made her life worse is just an example of how living will always be seen as the only option. but the coworker hanging herself in the workplace also adds some blame on her, since it would've been very easy to save her when they were walking in.

Reading the linked post by the woman who attempted is heartbreaking. She basically was losing everything keeping her alive, and considering this was 2 years ago, I would not be surprised if she tried again since. Anti-mercy people really look at that and say "you have so much to live for".

Reading the linked post by the woman who attempted is heartbreaking. She basically was losing everything keeping her alive, and considering this was 2 years ago, I would not be surprised if she tried again since. Anti-mercy people really look at that and say "you have so much to live for".

(I looked at the original post and turns out I am blind) I wonder where she is now. Wouldn't surprise me if she attempted again shortly after :( Sounds like she had almost nothing going for her. I don't like reading all the worthless Reddit platitudes in the comments...
