Is it possible to slice your wrists with a razor blade? Like one of the ones you get out of a simple shaving razor. The knives I have at home just feel wayy too dull compared to the razor which cuts through the skin very simply. It is quite flimsy though, I'm not quite sure. Just wondering if it could be done with it. It cuts very easily at my thighs, I'd imagine my wrists would be a lot simpler to cut through, of course I understand to reach a vein I'm going through several layers but just wondering if it is possible.

Reminds me of the scene from Team America where a character is told he may want to take his own life so he's given... a hammer.

I mean it's possible with enough motivation but please, find a better method.

Someone dissuaded me from slitting my wrists because it's apparently not very effective if you google lethality of suicide. I wish it did work more often cause it would be easy to do. Food for thought.
I did wonder about drugs alcohol and a hotel bathtub to prevent clotting so I'm still considering it

I used to use the blades out of pencil sharpers... Very sharp.. They slice right through.

It is possible, but very inefficient for ctb. I used to self-harm a lot and wrists are one of easier parts to cut. But it's definitely not a reliable way to ctb.
Also if you're doing it for self-harm reasons, try not to go too deep, because you might injure your hand mobility.

Was thinking of it as a ctb method. I no longer can cut on my wrists, but as a ctb method it's about the only one I have

Sorry to hear this. I've actually been in a similar situation where I was hoping to ctb by cutting veins, but now I realized it most likely wasn't gonna work. If you don't mind, DM me and perhaps I can try to give you some advice

I seen a prison doc abt prisoners who self harm with lots of deeep scaring. I guess penknife is more use for self harm.

Cutting a vein will not cause death and a blade from a shaving razor isnt going to do the job. Please research the lethality of wrist cutting as it relates to suicide. If you were to cut an artery, youd then slowly watch yourself bleed to death. I just wouldmt recommend this method

In a failed attempt, scars could make you go to hospital (depending on jurisdiction). That's not a place I recommend if you really want to die.
