Quick SN Question

I'm working out the final details of my SN. My weight is around 340 pounds = 154.2 kg. It is advised to use 100 mg SN for every 1 kg of body weight. This means that I will need 15420 mg = 15.42 grams of SN.

However, Stan's guide recommends 20 grams for a regular sized person and 25 grams for a larger person. This leaves me a bit confused. I'm not sure whether to take the 15.42 grams or the 25. Before I did the math, I was prepared to have to take 30 grams, at least. Since I am very obese.

i cant advise for you but if it was me id take the 25. plus its always better to be safe then sorry. i will also say that people advised to take the 20 and failed/had to take a second one (which i wont lie you most likely will as well)

I took 15g and was mildly overweight at the time & would've succeeded had I not been found. To me, 25g sounds fine for you. It just might take longer to get into your bloodstream. It's often advised to prepare a second glass too. Especially if not using antiemetics or using dimenhydrinate, which is supposedly not strong enough.

i think some people feel the need to voice every little thing even though thats not always best and sometimes should at least be reworded. idk why they couldnt have just clicked ignore if you annoyed them that much, i mean thats exactly why that button exists

You were treated that way because you asked for every little detail when that's something you should figure out on your own rather than having people instruct you. It just helps make the forum look bad and it's against the rules, see the following:

  • Do not encourage, suggest, manipulate, coerce, or help users carry out acts of any nature whatsoever, including suicide; only provide factual information and emotional support to those who ask for it. Do not try to get the community to tell you what to do, only you can choose your path and actions.

Just FYI, the PPH recommends that if your weight is over 100kg (~220 lbs), you should increase the SN dose to 35g.

agreed but instead of making them feel hated they should be ignored, theyll stop asking sooner or later once they realize that people arent going to help them. theres more then 1 way to deal with any situation and making someone feel hated for being scared, isnt it.

I plan to use SN and to follow the 25g as recommended in Stans guide. Can't recall the case studies and changes over the years but they've changed the amount several times to reflect the 'best method' (if that can be achieved) so to be on the safe side I'd go with what the latest advice is. I'd also prepare a second glass as most people will vomit, even those with a good AE regime. Wishing you all the best

because there are people that want to shut the place down and everyone is freaking out. thats no reason to make this place unsafe however, all they are doing is making things worse for themselves and everyone else, including the site. if the site looks like a place of hate and rejection it will only "help" the prolifers.

and even if you do want to take down the site, one should never jump to conclusions, they will only make themselves look like an idiot once they find out thats not the case. its one thing to take precautions its another to act on your fears.

and again even if you do want to take down the site thats why the rules exists. inform the rules, then ignore. theres no reason to get hateful. anything that isnt ignoring is only making everything worse
