I recently got quetiapine for sleep. I'm having a lot of really harsh sleeping problems. I hate sleeping pills. I was taking ketrel (quetiapine) like 10 ya, it wasn't great. I'm scared it won't work, I'm scared it could work.

How are you're experience? Do you know how it goes with alcohol?

I heard that low doses of Quetiapine are more helpful for sleep compared to high doses. I personally don't really use Quetiapine for sleep, but it did make me feel drowsy. Not as much now as I either have built resistance against it or because of the fact that I had another night meds specifically for sleep that I just stopped hence why I'm more "awake" at night despite the Quetiapine.

Another problem with Quetiapine with some people would be urge of hunger and snacking at night, if that might be a problem with you.

I have taken Quetiapine and all my other meds several times with alcohol. I do try to avoid them when I've been drinking for too much (if I'm tipsy etc) just because they can cause worse hangovers in the morning (especially the headache). However, if I'm just socially drinking or if I'm drinking by myself and I'm just drinking 1-2 standard drinks, I find myself taking my meds without any significant problems following that.

Many years ago I took it for insomnia and it saved my life. Very serious.

Frustrating to fight back from that and wind up back in this spot anyway. If it helps you please make it worth it. Insomnia changes you, even after you beat it. Make sure you stay a good person. I let it drive me mad. Let it make me angry and mean. Be careful.
