Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Hello, I am considering ctb by firearm and decided to make a thread because the firearms megathread is pretty inactive.

First of all, would a revolver work? It seems easy to use and hold and wouldn't cost too much. Is there a type of revolver or bullets that I should go for?

Second, I was thinking about going to a gun store. Do you think someone would be willing to help me pick something out. For example, if I asked "I'm looking for a gun for self defense" would that be a good place to start?

Lastly, do you think they would deny me based on my criminal record? I have a pending felony charge but no convictions. I'm wondering if this will bar me from purchasing a gun. I live in the US btw.

It depends on your state and details of your case, but you probably are prohibited from purchasing a gun with a pending felony charge. You should definitely ask your attorney about it.

Yes, your pending felony would preclude you being able to buy a firearm from anyone who would run a 4473 on you.

Yep, like ShatteredSerenity said, your pending felony charge may prevent you from getting one.

Even if you were able to purchase one, there's no need to tell them you want to purchase one for self defense, or anything else.
