Hi,

Does anyone else feel like this where they tell someone how sudicidal they're feeling and then people just say distract yourself but it feels like it's never going away o get better and you think what's the point in living? But you feel as though you want help but they're not going to help you, I hope I made sense haha ! Xx

I'm ambivalent about what it does to tell others about your intentions. Seeking help is a good thing though. Is therapy an option for you?

I think real empathy is in very few people, I live with people who put so many expectations on me (to act as a normal functioning person) knowing full well that I am sick. Noone is prepared to accept how sick I truly am and not one person is intelligent enough to give me an adequate response to my plight (all I'm really after is some sympathy in my final days).

If you have expressed yourself enough as best as you can and they still are saying just to 'distract' yourself then you know you are not going get anywhere with them. I would look elsewhere or even consider ringing a helpline..
