Last Saturday a person posted on here and in the post they mentioned they were a junior. I feel bad for reporting because I relate to that poor kid. When I was junior I struggled a lot and Im still struggling till this day. That kid liked my comment and followed me and now I feel like an asshole for reporting.
Im just wondering do you at least give them some sort of advice or help before you straight up ban them? I feel like if not then it's cruel and harsh. It's sort of like a crisis lines when you call them and they hang up on you. I hope it's not like that and if it is then I really suggest you change it up. Hitting someone with a ban notification without anything else will make them feel unsupported and alone in their struggles and possibly end up hurting someone more than benefitting them.
I remember when I was 16 I got banned on r/suicidewatch just because I asked for a friend and the mods only gave me a reply saying not the right sub for this. When I replied back and told them I just wanted a friend to relate to because I was struggling they muted me and prevented me from appealing.
