Hello, I have question regarding SN and fasting. I've read some guides here which states 6-8h and only clear fluids, but my question is how strict is that guide. Is the time strict and really not even small food is allowed, or that's just safety margin? Why I ask? Because I tried to fast by 8+ hours few times and often I unconsciously tend to drink something like morning remaining coffee or take a candy or other small food leftovers. And I don't know if after that I can proceed with SN or it have to be completely nothing eaten and I should abort the try for that day. Don't know if it's worth to mention - I don't have any other drugs like antiemetics, because I was unable to get anything that is not OTC.
Thanks in advance.

It's kinda up to you. People have CTB'd with no fasting whatsoever. Some people have fasted for 36+ hours.

The goal of fasting is to clear your stomach of food to reduce the risk of throwing up and lower the time it takes for SN to reach the small intestine and be absorbed.

Anything in your stomach can slow down that process, and with SN, every second counts.

Your stomach is typically clear of food by the 6 hours mark, which is why I am planning on 6 hours.

This is a personal choice though, based on your tolerances.

Thanks for response!
I was curious if that's like you said, a personal preference or a must, especially when not taking any antiemetics to lower chance of throwing up.

Most people consider it a must. Most get very nauseous and vomit even with anti emetics

not quite sure how else to articulate it, you just don't want to slow down SN anymore than you have to due to the unpleasant side effects

I see, that makes sense. I am not comfident I will get anti-emetics. Fasting is no problem. Does anyone know how "fast" the movement into upper small intestine is?
