Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've been going to a psychiatric since my family members found out about my self harm.
I hate going there if I am honest, it's just a waste of time

I haven't really told what is actually bothering me and what is "hurting" me, I am very reserved.
The closest thing I got for a diagnosis was my psychiatrist telling me that I may have a personality disorder, but that's it. I don't really trust her, she is very close to my parents.
The medication I was given which is Prozac doesn't really help me, and I already told her, I previously had Prozac like two years ago yet didn't have luck, and I told her that but she just raises the dosis.

This sucks

i get it, psychiatry and therapy all feel like a big waste of time. it feels like it's just a thing we have to do to make everyone else feel better about themselves. 'safety plan' bs is so silly and meaningless. anyways i understand being reserved, but you might be able to get on meds that actually help if you are able to fully express what you're going through. ofc it's easier said than done, that's just my thoughts on the matter. i hope things work out for you

BPD is a personality disorder and it's quite serious. I was told by my first psychiatrist I had a personality disorder. Later it was found to be bipolar. I think they say that to ease you about getting treatment.

I wish things could be better for you~ :( having someone close to your family be your primary doctor, especially if you don't the best relationships with them doesn't sound too great for situations regarding mental stuff and must be so annoying ngl~ :( how bothersome~ >_<

Isn't that a conflict of interest that should get her scrutinized or dismissed from your case?
The medication I was given which is Prozac doesn't really help me, and I already told her, I previously had Prozac like two years ago yet didn't have luck, and I told her that but she just raises the dosis.
That's absolutely nightmarish. At least when I had a doctor who put me on meds that didn't work for me and that I stopped taking i could walk out of there and never look back
This sucks
It truly does. My sincerest that you have to go through that. I don't know if you could get a referral to another doctor so maybe just lie and insist you're fine so they will let you go?

A therapist should be removed from your family and social circle for this very reason.
You need to trust them.
You also need to be ready to hear what they say. That takes time and trust.
