PSA: If you're using SN to ctb (especially SN from L) PLEASE remove all labeling from the container before you ctb

Officials were able to figure out the sources in two out of three cases just by looking at the bottle as reported in one of the studies done on SN suicides. They couldn't trace the third source since there was no bottle to examine. Just some food for thought if y'all actually dedicated to hiding sources. Of course, it is bare minimum courtesy to at least peel off the label...

Wow, just checked and it is completely gone from their site and the online retailer I got mine from 11 days ago. Not even a page showing its NLA, just gone.

I suppose it could spend some time grinding down the label on the plastic with sand paper

If you are going to remove the labels you should also switch it to a different container because if law enforcement will investigate the container itself is also a lead.

Could be a good idea to just swap the stuff into another container when you get the stuff. Its perfectly fine to open it to test it, and while you are doing that you could put it in another container that doesn't have any info on the source. that way if you you did have the 'imprinted' on the container type it wouldn't matter. I'd really love to see these 'imprinted bottles'. haven't ever seen something like that in all the posts about SN, make me think they must be a 'new source'??

I'd advise members to stick to the tried and tested sources that have easily removable labels, that way you know what you are getting

SN won't be banned because it has far too many uses beyond suicide and there are always alternatives. At worst it'd be restricted to certain types of businesses and we'd still be able to buy it off of auction sites.

Really?. What auction sites?. I can't find any site that I can buy from that will ship direct to my country (UK).

I never said it's foolproof. Why on Earth would you make it easier for SN to become less and less available? Maybe in the grand scheme of things it'll eventually be restricted to the point where you'd have to pay hundreds to a chinese seller to obtain it in the future, but why accelerate the process? The longer we have reliable sources like L the more people can die with dignitity of their own choosing. Just because it might be an inevitable process does not mean you should accelerate it. Sure by all means leave a CTB note but the scenario you present is quite far-fetched. I seriously doubt that investigators will consider family member to have murdered you. It's not like they can't detect SN through a toxicology report after death.

If you go on a certain jungle site and search for SN you will see many recent reviews on the listing for L's SN from family members and friends of people who ctb'd using it calling for its removal and ban from the jungle site.

If we're to be smart about this and if you're pro-choice as well then please remove all the labeling from your SN container. Just flush it down the toilet or burn it into ashes using a lighter. We need to make sure SN stays legal and remains accessible for others even after we CTB. Please don't help the anti-choicers and the authorities make it harder for a dignified ending. L's SN is very high quality and to lose such a valuable source would be very unfortunate. Most of society is against us, so we always have to think two steps ahead.
