I don't know if it's possible, and I don't think it's recommendable. Where did you read that? You can overdose on any medication, but it depends a lot on the amount. You would need boxes and boxes of propanolol for it to work. Anyway, it's better to look for something more reasonable.

In my country you do not even need a prescription to buy it. It is so common and widely used that you can buy it at any corner pharmacy as if it was a flu medicine.
ODs with prescription or over-the-counter medications very, very rarely work. You usually have to have some extreme preexisting medical condition. If you are lucky, you will just make yourself sick and potentially get a cycle. If you are unlucky, you will do some serious damage to organs.
