I have read people you who were in favor of the death penalty in this forum. I have met some people who were promortalists on this website (pro-death).
I think the most accurate description of someone who is promortalist is the following. For every human the (immediate) death is the best thing that can happen because living means suffering. I am opposed to that view, I don't share it. Some say in theory it would be the best decision to commit suicide for everyone. I think this is kind of crazy. Because SI is extremely strong and if someone is truely happy and content why should it be better to ctb. I rather sympathize with antinatalism (not being born at all) though I am not fully convinced about it.
Promortalists might find that the death penalty is way more bearable for a person than prison time. What do you think is the bigger penalty a life in prison(forever) or the death penalty? If a promortalist would argue for the death penalty I would like to hear his line of argumentation.
Btw this thread was not supposed to be a thread about whether it is ethically okay to give someone the death sentence. But if this thread becomes a discussion about it I would be pleased if the mods could move this thread into off-topic due to the political aspect.
