Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Interest rates will be above 6%

Unemployment rate will reach above 6%

Recession will occur before the end of 2023 and the US will still be in recession by the beginning of 2025

First layoff of drivers due to self driving cars will occur, first fully automated warehouse, fast food location, and grocery store will be created with additional job losses or reduction in hiring. There will still be a few people monitoring it remotely to make sure it's working alright.

Most Americans will be holding 2 full time jobs (30+ hours) to make ends meet

There will be a natural disaster that will result in more than 10k deaths in the continental US and displace more than 100k people

Inflation will still be above 5%

Wealth and income inequality will continue to rise and 80% of americans will have less purchasing power than before the pandemic

Mass layoffs in tech continue in 2023 and 2024 more than 200k+ layoffs in the US itself

75% those laid of in tech will find jobs which pay lower salaries while the other 25% get the same salary

Many perks in tech and other white collar industries will disappear or be reduced, free car rentals, free food, spa and massage, gym workout, health insurance coverage will be worse

Ron DeSantis will take the presidency in 2025, the supreme court will validate independent state legislature theory, ban student loan relief, reduce affirmative action and increase religious freedom of service providers to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people. Abortion will continue to be a state issue

There will be over 1 million homeless people in the US officially counted, currently 500-600k, unofficially it will be 2-3 million, this will be driven by climate refugees, increased cost of rent, loss of jobs and growing inflation

There will be another pandemic or a more dangerous covid variant which will have similar effects to covid 19 but no lockdowns will happen though a few people will quarantine.

Mass shootings will continue to trend upwards there will be 10%+ increase in deaths and 15%+ increase in casualties year on year from 2023. The record for most deaths in a single rampage will be broken the first one with 100+ kills will occur

There will be an increase in other forms of attacks such as car rammings, stabbings and arson too

Violent crime and robbery will continue to increase while the percent of unsolved cases will also increase

There will be an attack on the electrical grid shutting down power to 100k+ homes and killing thousands of people

No balkanization or civil war will occur due to republican victory

Child labor laws will be rolled back in red states successfully

These are all very sad and depressing predictions, but I enjoyed reading through it as it reminded me of when I was able to talk about predictions like these with my favourite ex.
