Predictions for 2021 - Post Yours

Since it's so quiet on here and I'm bored shitless and depressed to hell, I thought I'd start a thread for predictions for 2021. Feel free to add yours.

1) In the UK the furlough scheme was extended back in November or October til March, so I straight away predicted that we'd be locked down again after Christmas til march. Since then they've extended it to April, so I expect we'll be locked down til April now.
2) I predict that in Feb or probably Mar or Apr they will claim there's a new super virulent and contageous and also deadly version of covid, which will be called covid-21, and so we'll be locked down again.
3) Because of (2) the vaccine will become mandatory.
4) However the true cause of the massively increased death rate will be the immune response caused by the vaccine - so more people getting it will make it worse. Of course they won't know this (or rather admit to it).
5) We'll be locked down practically the whole year.
6) The world economies will collapse, and a new economic system will be proposed where we will live "more in harmony with nature" and which is "more socially just".
7) There will be a huge "cyber attack" - this will be what's blamed for the economies collapsing, and it will be blamed on Russia and/or China and/or Korea.
8) Membership to SS will reach record levels, and SN will be the highest selling chemical in the world

I don't disagree with you. I am in Canada and the USA is so divided I'm wondering if a civil war will break out.

Global warming continues to get worse. The world governments continue to fart around and will do absolutely nothing to stop it - they won't even do the easy things like try to choke off international aviation or pass a gas guzzler tax. We will be fed more propaganda about how 5G is making our modern lives better that will be accompanied with actors of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds repeating the word "innovation" a million times.

Homicide rate and unrest in the US will ease up a bit through the spring as the vaccine begins to come out and some of the most acute stressors are taken off of people in daily life.

US will avert a civil war for the time being. Odds of its disintegration through other means however continue to increase

Gold and silver have a good year prompted by bidens fiscal policies. They may also benefit from legislative gridlock/dysfunction

Poor countries will continue to struggle and we will see many more currency failures like we saw happen with lebanon last year going into this year.

The great reset - you get "free" everything (food, energy, clothes, water, etc) but in return you own nothing and do what you're told.

There's no money, so there's nothing to buy anyway, and no way to become wealthier and change your place in the world.

I'm skeptical of the great reset. The world monetary system is too complex for reform. Too many currencies, too many stakeholders, no united geopolitical grouping to carry it out as there was after WW2 and other times where the US and Europe basically enforced monetary reforms on other countries. The US government didn't even roll out a temporary UBI during the crisis.

If something like the WEF scenario were to occur it would be something they gradually roll the global population into. If we have a sudden failure of one of the major fiat currencies this world is done. There are about four or 5 currencies in the world that would result in a global economic collapse if they suddenly devalued to zero - The US dollar, the euro, the yuan, the yen, and the rupee. Things would fall apart so fast you couldn't have a reset , it would just be SHTF

early 2021 will definitely see a big increase as the winter continues. Unless it totally spirals out of control by spring the vaccine will have vaccinated about half the citizens at least in the US. I barely worry about COVID as a risk to stability at this point other than burning the doctors out.

1. Risk of civil war is and always has been overrated. There is no civil war coming in US unless US dollar completely fails and in that case its more likely just going to be SHTF there will be no neatly arranged sides

I've just got to hang around to see if this dystopian future plays out like I think it will. If not I can always leave any time.

In the meantime to keep my spirits up I've noticed that gradually, oh so slowly boiling the frog, laughter and happiness has gone, and all you hear reported is doom and gloom and misery.

So I've been watching stupid totally politically incorrect stuff on YouTube and it's lifted my spirits no end.

It's just utter silliness, Benny Hill and stuff like that, Carry on Film clips - totally not acceptable if you want to be offended - but you know what, I think this is the problem - we're living our lives in fear of upsetting someone else who claims to be offended.

Well if you're offended - don't watch it, just leave the rest of us alone and let us have some happiness and laughter, go and sulk in your own cave of misery by yourself instead of telling all of us how bad we are and how we need to do what you say before you continue on your march of righteousness to find the next person who is doing something you don't like.

You're going to be miserable and find things wrong no matter what, so go do it by yourself I'm going to do what I want and if you don't like it - tough.

Civil war would imply moderately well defined sides. If US goes through a breakdown which I believe it will ultimately , it is not going to be a civil war. It's going to look more like pre industrial. The resources available to fight one just won't be there
