If you don´t have 5 just post the ones you have, this thread is pretty much also a display to 'guests' on this site that removing one method don´t hinder suicide e.g. if my legally owned guns get taken away I still have other methods to replace it.

4. Heroin OD by injection

1 and 2 is pretty much 50/50 and the same for 3 and 4

Why are you not fan of gunshot? I assume it´s because of the mess since all your methods don´t mutilate the body.

I am also not a fan of jumping despite it being 100% certain I would die from a decent height, Also where I live there aren´t many tall buildings.

I am also not a fan of jumping despite it being 100% certain I would die from a decent height, Also where I live there aren´t many tall buildings.

exactly, death by gunshot is one of the best methods that there is, but i'm not comfortable with the mess. besides, i'm more into the idea of a slow-ish, painfree death, i don't have the courage to jump or point a gun at myself.

i just noticed that all your methods, except heroin, are relatively instantaneous and reliable. this thread is really interesting, we get to see what are other people's priorities when it comes to their methods.

I think it can be divided into two ways
1) swallowing- SN, nembutal, fentanyl...
2) the rest- shooting, jumping, cutting, gases...

For me at least it's a different types of courage, and I just not possible to do the second option, and it's weird to see people Move between these two ways
A lot of courage or despair (what a difference)

It's about ease of access for me. And then about pain. Courage isn't too hard for me if you have some booze or get yourself in the zone to attempt.

Now that I think about it, movies rarely portray suicide methods accurately. The Swedish film Suicide room does, but films make overdoses on benzos, antidepressants, digoxin almost as if they're likely. I've heard it's difficult for a newbie to CTB via a gun and no one ever fails by hanging in films. So different from reality.

Correction; gunshot to the head is painfree at least, according to my research you will go unconcious before you even hear the 'bang' from the gun it´s pretty wild to think about it´s basically a suicide button like turning off a light 'click' and done.

Yeah I am a fan of death being instant or at least go unconcious instantly because most my methods won´t kill me instantly but will make me unconcious immediately and with the gun it might kill me instantly if I hit a crucial part of the brain although doubtful since I am going with shooting myself in the temple but I will be dead in a couple of minutes a most and unconcious immediately after pulling the trigger.

And I agree it´s interesting to see other people´s methods since people mostly talk about just there main one, it´s also interesting to see how many have similar methods especially gun since not everyone has that option available to them, also seeing people´s choice of methods you can tell that some would rather not mutilate their body and have their bodies more peaceful looking, whereas others like me don´t care too much as long as it´s quick and painless.

Also handgun suicide using a 9mm isn´t gruesome at all to see I have dozens of pictures and videos of people who shoot themselves in the temple and it just leaves a little hole the only thing that could be considered gruesome is the amount of blood but that doesn´t bother me and sometimes there arent that much blood I even have some beautiful pics of a guy who shot himself in the temple the pictures look very nostalgic with the weather and he looks so peacefull.

I went to OD twice TWO TIMES and didn't die, then i knew the case of this girl who accidentally mixed pills and alcohol in a party, went to a coma, and months later she died in an hospital bed. She never even noticed o suffer, as far as i know, and then there's me TWO TIMES attepmts and nothing like whaat the f is wrong seriously

That´s how I see it too when using a firearm to ctb it´s just like turning off a light switch just click and you are gone.

Gunshot deaths are often not instant, not even to the head. It's not like in the movies. You can easily stay alive for hours, bleeding out and suffering, or even survive but disfigured, mentally handicapped and disabled.

Not if you do it right, choose the best weapon and the correct ammunition - and then hit the brainstem ! If you have everything carefully planned you cannot fail.
