Bit of a logistic question, but how would one contact the police after they die? I would want my body to be found within a day or two ideally, but I absolutely do not want to call them too early. Same problem of asking a friend to text the police, I can't be 100% sure that they wouldn't call early and I don't want to put them in that legal situation. I know iPhones have the ability to send messages later, but would that apply to 911? Perhaps theres some way to use email scheduling...

For anyone who has any knowledge about this, please share your thoughts 🙏

VOIP can make a timed call pre recorded to 911 just attach m4a, opus or mp3 or what ever format it supports

Its how scammers do mass dialing with robot voices or pre recorded messages lol

If you have a friend that you could use, why not send them a scheduled email instead (to say what has happened and please call the police).
Assuming they have an email address that they monitor.
Maybe send scheduled emails to a few people. Doesn't have to be a friend or family member or even someone you speak to regularly.
In the UK the Samaritans (suicide prevention / crisis call charity) has an email address you can contact them on. There must be similar organisations in most countries I would think. I was thinking of sending a delayed/scheduled email to them. I don't know, but I guess they probably get a quite a few of this type of email.

I wanted to send a delayed email but, couldn't seem to find an email address. Only phone lines or, only to a Police Commisioner. I imagine it could go into their spam folder!

I've settled on the idea of sending a delayed email to my Solicitor, asking them to inform the police. I'd probably contact them just prior to make sure they were still contactable. But, they're going to need to know anyway. I'd likely email over to them attachments of my notes too. I've heard they don't always get passed on.

Delayed email to who, the police directly?
They don't advertise email addresses to the public (in the UK at least). Too much of a sap on resources I guess, they've got better things to do. And they have a habit of losing important information anywyay. Email is probably way down the list of things to process properly.

Yes- I'd hoped to be able to send a delayed email to my local police station. Ie. Not an emergency situation but, still something they needed to deal with. But yeah- they don't appear to advertise one so- my Solicitor it will likely be.

Kind of understandable. Imagine the manpower that the police would have to devote to reading all the emails sent in on a public email address. Most missing the required information to act on it properly and so needing following up. And if they missed or ignored a tiny detail that resulted in something going bad, or they didn't respond in time to an emergency, they'd get hauled through the courts for it.
They only want to deal with people in person or by phone so they can assess and respond straight away on their terms. Makes sense I suppose. And as you say, emails would simply get ignored. "Mark all as Read", we've all done that at work...
