Discussion Possible accessible SN alternative (Isobutyl Nitrite)

Seeing as SN is less and less readily available, would isobutyl nitrite be a suitable substitute? I just read a thread form March yet there hasnt been a whole lot of discussion other than that. I will link it below.

Does anybody have any extra information on this subject besides the thread? I think this could be a very promising replacement for SN considering it functions the same way ("methaemoglobinaemia the presence of oxidized haemoglobin which is unable to transport oxygen". https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/125...binaemia,unconsciousness, coma and even death.)
Going to try to research a bit more although it's rather difficult regarding the censorship of search engines nowadays. Will update thread if I get more information besides what's available in March thread. Data seems to be the biggest thing here.

I think the problems are going to end up being 1) who is going to be the guinea pig? and 2) how will anyone know for certain? It's not like most on here know anyone else irl. 3) how will the information be conveyed?

SN was introduced in the PPH. Something new like this would, most likely, have to be, also. Trying to find a new method on a forum, where no one can absolutely know for sure what is, and isn't, true, is difficult, at best.
