Porn and masturbation addiction ruined my life

This is one of the reasons I want to ctb.

I first started watching porn and masturbating at age 12.

And have been addicted ever since.

I wish I never started masturbating and watching porn.
I am sure my life would have been better.

As the story per se is amazing, I don't really agree with the moral behind it.
The phrase: Hell is the place where the person you are meets the person you could have been - it's kinda cheesy.
We live in a world of infinite possibilities but, we are not perfect, so sometimes we let some opportunities slip by. Each one of us could have had better luck or better opportunities and unfortunately, it's not all about how hard you try (even tho it surely help).
Sometimes you do your best and you still kinda suck. We are not all born to be heroes.

But the story is still awesome becouse you can replace that ghost with whatever you want - anime, videogames, drugs, gambling, whatever really.

There is nothing bad in watching inside the evil ghost, if you're strong enough to control yourself, and you don't overdo it. Just a little peek every now and then, and you'll be fine.

This is very dangerous.
Because it requires great self - discipline and self-control.
It depends on your character.
Most people (me included) simply do not have enough will power for "just a peek".
It leads to more and more of the addiction.
We need to abstain from it completely.

Don't thoughts about sex become much less intrusive right after a sexual release? I think, most people who like to watch a porn and jerk off lose their interest in such things immediately once they finish and just switch their attention to something else then.

I wish it was that simple man.
You are right but that "loss of intreset" lasts only a short time and then you need your "fix" again.

It's just like any other drug unfortunately.

AFAIK, some meds may suppress libido, so maybe you could take advantage out of them in case if your little friend happens to bother you too much.

How old are you?

It's never too late to improve your life if you're serious. While you may never attain the heights you dreamt of in your youth, any improvement is better than none or ctb Like exercising, the hardest part of the workout is getting into the gym.

There are plenty of job openings out there. There are plenty of single women out there too. Just focus on improving yourself and interact with real women. Put your self on a mental diet, reducing your intake of porn, video games and TV.

A real hero faces and conquers challenges, beginning with himself. He doesn't give up.

Sure, you missed boats you could have caught if you hadn't gotten addicted and distracted and wasted time and missed opportunities. But get your life (really yourself) in order now, pick some new, difficult yet attainable goals (educational/training, job/career, income/investments, health & fitness, etc) and start working towards them NOW.

As Jordan Peterson explains in his videos, the source of most positive emotions is from successfully pursuing goals you value.

I just missed a lot of opportunities (transitioned late, failed relationships, failed careers) and now it's like, oh, now my youth is gone and I need to CTB cause the life that's left isn't worth it. It's kind of sad, but depending on your spiritual persuasion, maybe in our next lives we won't miss out as much.

pornography addiction isn't incurable. i also got addicted from a very young age, struggled with it for many years growing up. i find that finding healthy distractions to keep my mind off of it when i'm bored and would usually have turned to watching pornography helps. but not actively telling myself i'm sacrificing something, because porn is bad and i'm better off without it.
i'd recommend reading this book called the "easypeasy method." it's available for free online. it's quite different from any other method, and doesn't really require willpower. it feels easy, as is in the title. it might seem too good to be true, but it's worked for me and many others. it's worth a try at least, if you're struggling so much and it's severely affecting your mental health.
and yes, i can still masturbate, i just don't have to rely on pornography to reach orgasm anymore or do it a copious amount of times. i do it a few times a week usually. so you don't have to sacrifice pleasure completely, if you're worried about that.

I hate porn, it's so unrealistic to what intimacy is like and it makes me feel disgusted/awkward half the time whenever I would see it in my youth: there's even a genre of music called "pornogrind", it's essentially goregrind but with a hypersexual theme. Even when a porn sample is used in the music of bands that play this genre, it makes me feel awkward like I just want to skip over it. But sometimes I cope with it just to hear bangers like this
