  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

PPE stands for Personal Protective Equipment, is it necessary to wear such things as gloves and goggles when handling Sodium Nitrite?

If you're handling to test it and don't intend to ctb atm ppe should be worn. Though even when about to ctb I'd wear gloves. Am not worried about goggles because I don't think SN is fine enough.

I don't think this is essential tbh but there is no harm in it. I think Sodium Azide handling would require them though.

No. I've worked with the stuff in a professional kitchen, making sausages, etc. It's not dangerous until you ingest a whackload of it…

What about those which report 99 percent purity? Would that require PPE? Let's suppose it's not cutting salt with only 6% sodium nitrite.

SN is only toxic when digested, it can't transmit to skin. If you are worried you could use goggles to protect your eyes and wash your hands in case some sticks to it

No. Even 100 percent pure is not toxic enoigh to need ppe. You literally need to get about a full tablespoon of the powder into your body for it to be fatal.
