I'm sorry you're in so much pain and ambivalence. That last part I believe is an important factor; you seem to want to live. It must mean you have something - either internal or external - that makes it feel worth to stick around. An anchor of sorts. Have you given any thought to what it is?

I'm so sorry, that sounds like an absolute agonizing situation to be in. How brave of you to reach out here and asking for help. Can you hold on a little further, you think? Are there any comforting factors in your life?

You don't sound like you should do it. If you have doubts, you'll have regrets. Good on you for reaching out, you've got fight left in you! Keep it up!

A cat is definitely something. I have a cat too and sometimes he's been the only reason I'm alive. Cats are such amazing friends. They don't love you because it's their instincts like dogs, they love you because they choose to. It's such a precious gift being the reciever of that love.
