Please help me whats the difference between SN Food grade, Tech grade, Lab grade? Can i use any?

I got a 'tech' grade which im not sure if it's similar to being lab grade. It is 99% pure SN. Can i use the tech grade to CTB? Is it in accordance to Stan's guide?
Please help me determine which is suitable for SN CTB.Stan's guide hasnt mentioned the grades just the purity. Now i only have SN Tech grade. Is that different from the one people are using to CTB via SN?

really? thank you. just making sure tech grade wont burn mt throat or what not since it might be used on metals.

If you buy something that is 95% SN, it doesn't matter what it is used for. It's the same SN.

The only question is what fillers (the other 5%) have been added. Usually fillers are used to prevent clumping or to add colouring to make it distinguishable. Those are rarely "burn your throat" poisons, but if you want to be extra-sure I would look for food grade SN.

i only have tech grade available to me. ive been reading the sub for awhile, i suppose tech grade with 99% purity works the same. Hopefully someone with same grade replies to my thread so i can have a peace of mind

I'm quite certain that's sufficient. You could try and find out (google) the different naming conventions for your country. When does a producer have to specify a product as medical grade/food grade/lab grade/technical grade.

Or simply look at the label and see what the 1% additive is. Most likely just chalk or something similar to prevent clumps.
