Hi everyone,

I hope everyone calm down, this is just a temporary state, the forum isn't gone and you can continue what you were doing previously. I know its hard to deal with because of how many of us are in deep pain and suffering. The mods are working hard and they are a part of the community and understanding of the pain and the freedom of choice. I hope everyone calm down and don't leave impulsively, the world is ugly and cruel outside and I don't want anyone to lose this place. I wish you all the best.

Are people really leaving SS? Good luck finding another place where you can talk about your suicidality without being told to just turn that silly frown upside down, folks.

The thing is, some people really used the site to talk about technical issues about suicide, not about the philosophical or subjective stuff.

Btw pro-lifers especially have a problem with the former, not really with the latter... (at least when they're not confronted to it themselves)

There's a lot of change, some people don't like it. Now I understand some people would like to have some kind of community, but it's really hard on a place like that... just count the number of members who joined in 2018, you can use your hands. At best, you can have a support group.

Are they being censored by having the mods deleting undesirable comments by just a click of a button from a person who's triggered unreasonably? Is it because they're not comfortable ever since NYT wrote a story about SS? Is it because the suicide wikipage is deleted? Are the mods being blamed on something (I think they're doing marvelous job)?

I'm so out of the loop. Can someone fill me in?

The government still hasn't learned that when people are determined, they will find a way. The failed war on drugs and prohibition taught them absolutely nothing and I have no faith in them to truly get their mental health related shit together. If they do then cool but I don't plan on waiting for it.

"I'd say, SS w/o methods = all recovery section". This is such a hot take that I fully agree. I miss the older version of SS, now that you've pointed it out. I didn't know that we're missing those all along! We're now in the "new normal", ladies and gentlemen.
