Discussion Please be careful with people linking so called sources for SN

I just got a DM from a member on this forum who is new with almost no posts.
They tried sending me a link to a random PDF which apparently had a guide how to get SN.
It was a random file title, a random pdf file and it was linked to limewire for some odd reason meaning it was most likely a virus.
(I did not click it nor download it just if anyone asks.)


PLEASE no one just download random links from people in DM's and look at the source
Just do not download or click on random files from people unless you trust them or are a trusted member.
You are your best barrier to not get a virus as a virus scanner my not stop it before it is to late.

Any and all unsolicited DM's about sources or similar things should be reported, especially if the sender has minimal and/or shady post/account history.

I received it too (or at least something similar). I thankfully did not open anything. Mine is a new group chat they made with the title "SN Sauce".
