I was told SN is less potent than Nembutal and far more likely to be barfed. I want as close to 100% chance as possible.

In that case I think night night method is good. I just don't see myself attempting with "night-night", it seems too complicated to me

Ligature strangulation (night-night) sounds very attractive, but is a rare method in successful suicides.

I haven't personally reached the success of it that i would like but there are actually a few cases of people on here who have successfully practiced. To be fair though i just recently bought all the tools for it that should have from the beginning instead of using a modified version. So if i practice with the new equipment it might work easier for me.

Why did you pick this particular one instead of say SN or N? Where you would just fall asleep and have no pain?

Because it's cheap yet effective and cops won't seize it. I have a fear of cops finding Nembutal and getting prosecuted or something but i will risk it if night night doesn't work. The reason why im not going with SN is because I was told it's not as reliable as Nembutal and that SN will make you barf.

I think I'm going to go with SN myself. I thought of hanging but, that's too much for me. I would kick off and not accomplish. SN I can take lay down and that's it, the party is over.

If you take SN then you also need to take metoclopramide (anti vomiting drug) which will stop you from vomiting. You ALSO need to take metoclopramide before N or else you can vomit too (which will likely cause your attempt to fail).

What does practice mean? Is it about finding the correct level on your neck and position for the cornhole bags or about quickly operating the ratcheting mechanism?

As to your original question, I would actually use hanging as a back up of the night-night method, should it be required. N could still be an option if both fail.

When they said success they explained it as if they finally got to the point where if they didn't loosen the strap quick enough they know they would have died because they could feel themselves passing out

I did pass out from night-night while I was testing my setup. The strap was loosened before any real damage was done to me by someone I met on here, so I know that it works

Do u know how long it took to pass out? And how tight was the strap?

With the padding I had on my carotid, it only took about 10 sex's to pass out. I don't remember how tight the strap was, as I just kept tightening it a little at a time

Planning to use a slightly modified Night Night method by using duct tape to maintain the necessary pressure and also, duct tape is difficult to rip off in the event "survival instinct" kicks in.

I'm relieved really. I plan on night-nighting in the comfort of my own bed.
