• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Why isn't this possible? Seems like a win win.

I think a lot of people would make the same trade as you.

Speaking of such...It may be an urban legend, but I have read about prisons, hospitals, and funeral homes selling organs without the permission of the deceased.

DEAD YESTERDAY

I actually emailed the top authority on "death by organ donation" in my country asking how I can have that done. I was totally serious and very desperate to avoid the uncertainty of SN. I feel like it's a win-win for everybody...

Definitely not an urban legend. In China there are prisons specifically and only for political prisoners (ie: crimes of "thought"), located near hospitals where they do organ transplants. There is a "rumour" that China offers organ transplants with almost no waiting list if you pay the price.

I've heard of homeless selling their organs, and the the Dr taking more then they were supposed to in South America.

You remind me the last time I was severely suicidal I had a freind who was dying. He had something wrong with his heart, and was on the transplant list. When he found out I was going to kill myself he went ballistics. He wanted my heart if I wouldn't listen to reason. He wanted to live. He was fighting to live, and I was fighting to die. Will, was his name. He did in fact die a short time after that conversation. So did I, but I was revived. Fate is a fickle whore perhaps.

Yeh it sucks that they're not willing to do it. I think it's because they treat killing people like the trolley problem where they're not willing to actively kill one person even if it means saving 5 others, because trading with lives is a non-negotiable taboo. It could lead to a slippery slope I guess. But especially where the donor is willing, it's baffling how still they refuse. I guess it's because they still see people who want to die as mentally ill and vulnerable

I also wonder why there is no such procedure. Many sufferers would find peace. And many sick people would find a second chance at life. This world is terrible

I feel like they should present this as an option. People are going to ctb anyways. Why not make it peaceful, and in exchange, they give up their organs for those who need them. I bet the waitlist for organs wouldn't be as long.

I totally understand why a free market for organs is outlawed globally (even though for people like us it is kind of a shame - in exchange for a peaceful Nembutal death, I would gladly sell my organs and then split the money with the organ harvesters and my family), but it is particularly cruel how even when there will be no money paid out (ie just organs), it's still not allowed. Who knows how many young and healthy organs have been wasted over the years when there are so many people in dire need?
