Phenobarbital + drowning

Hello. I have access to some Phenobarbital. I am unsure exactly what the amount of it is in terms of per pill and amount of pills, there is a decent amount of them - but it will definitely be an OD. What are my chances if I take them & swim far out in a lake at night where no one would see me? Would I go unconscious? Would beginning to drown be able to wake me up? Would I even feel it? What could go wrong? Thanks in advance.
It would be even more appreciated if anyone has happened to have a personal experience with this drug.

I don't have 5-10 grams. It would be less than that. Thats why I have to combine it with drowning in hopes I'll lose consciousness - bc it won't be enough to kill me on it's own I don't think.
