I thought this would be a cool idea, remembering I still have some songs on soundcloud that a friend and I made and would be nice to share for other members here to enjoy. I've played drums since the age of 11 and happened to meet a coworker years ago who is a great guitarist/singer, so we randomly just decided to record some live ideas we had, not having planned or rehearsed any of it haha. Here are some of the better ones:

https://soundcloud.com/zylor-futllvack/mixed-signals

https://soundcloud.com/zylor-futllvack/slow-it-down-lumineers-cover

We obviously didn't figure out what we were doing until about the middle of this song haha, but the ending is cool.

Your songs aren't pretty good! I used to play piano, ukulele and violin, though I haven't touched the latter two since I was about 11 or so. I still play the piano sometimes but it's been a while.

I drew this a while ago, the shading and hands are a little off but other than that I think it's pretty decent. I've got some poetry but I'm not sure if any of it is worth sharing, it's mostly just what I've written for myself when I've been feeling down 66FBD4D4 4CDA 45A9 B779 6CD133929F30
Thanks for making this thread btw! It'll be nice to see what other members have created :)

Very nice! You can draw girl!! That's cool that you play the piano and violin. I was always intrigued by those instruments, especially piano, but never really bothered to spend the time and learn them. I also play a little guitar too, but am nowhere near as experienced as I am with drums. Haha they were my passion for a very long time.

No problem! Isn't it a cool idea??

Thank you! I wish I could play the guitar, they taught us a little bit when I was in primary school but I don't remember any of it lol. I don't really remember the violin either but I could probably pick it up again if I tried, I prefer the piano though

I would too. You can literally get lost in piano.

Sure, that sounds neat. Unfortunately I have barely written anything in the past ~3 years, let alone recorded anything. I did however finish writing one song and since I write my music in a Midi program I can share it with you as an mp3 of the midi file, although it's gonna sound kinda pooopy:

https://instaud.io/37xq

It's called "Far Out". It starts out very bare-bones, but then in the middle part I imagine it's kind of like entering into outer space, which is why I called it that.

I'd love to hear any of you guys' honest opinion, regardless of whether it's positive or negative.

Nice! I like the general punk-rock vibe at times, and the whole thing has some solid rhythms and melodies.

Nice, I like how it progresses through so many different sections. This would be great with real instruments!

Here is a hard rock instrumental I made recently: https://instaud.io/37Cu

I listened to the first one and it sounds great, especially for just jamming around. Nice alt rock vibes, definitely not #Shit as the tag indicates. :)

After seeing this thread yesterday I decided to write a poem based on it. I don't particularly like the third stanza but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, tbh.
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/disposal-of-remains-composting-to-be-legal-in-wa.9932/

When I die grow an apple tree with my soil,
Water it, love it, watch it grow.
For this is the life I cannot foil,
Look after me till my fruit does show.

Climb me in your rambunctious youth,
Read under me in your melancholic years.
Let me be the canvas for your declaration of love,
Say your vows sheltered by my judicious shade.

Allow me to be a home,
Sheltering and safe.
Allow me to be a Samaritan,
Giving and gentle.

And when I finally fall,
Do not mourn what has been lost.
Remember in life that I gave my all,
Don't enshroud my memory in frost.

Tantalus - all desire, no hope

:[guote]When I die grow an apple tree with my soil,
it, love it, watch it grow.

This above is a beautiful poem.

I've alway thought it was so cool that Dante thought the suicides ended up like trees. Although in my book it is much more peaceful.
Here is my latest poem, but it needs some polishing:

Tantalus and Me

Eternally dying of thirst, the water slips away as Tantalus bends to drink it.
Famished by hunger, the fruit taunts him by raising up just out of his reach.
Sentenced to this fate by the gods for committing a horrific crime.

The beautiful people tantalize me by their loving looks at each other.
I sit alone and my heart is empty; yet it weighs a ton.
The beautiful people are talented and dreamers.
I accomplish nothing and dream only of death.

The normal people marry, have children and grow old gracefully.
I sit alone through the long years, envy and regret consuming my soul.
The normal people have professions and retirement plans.
I have had my life's work and career ripped away from me, the future is bleak and hopeless.

But above all, love tantalizes me.
The simple things, like holding hands, or a breathless first kiss;
I have never had them, and I never will.
If I were to bend to drink the nectar of love, it would slip away.
If I were to reach out to savor the fruit of love, it would raise up out of my grasp.

But I cannot even try, the wounds are too deep.
The damage is permanent, and irreversible.
Like Tantalus, I am eternally doomed to be tormented by desire for things I can never have.
But why was I sentenced to this fate?
What was my horrific crime?

I haven't gone through the thread yet, just gripped by a surprising desire to share my poetry and art, but I will!

In the meantime, enjoy, or laugh at my drama/romanticism/I'll understand. (Just realized a few posted twice, I'll fix that tomorrow) Edit: Yea I'm a huge f*aggot for posting those on IG, but it is the way it is. I was too cowardly to start a blog when I was in the midst of inspiration. They're all fairly old, most from the first 6 months of 2018.

Oh, this is the first poem I ever wrote at 14, based on my first romantic soulmate connection. I'd like to edit it now, but I won't
