Not Waving But Browned Off….

Reading about the 'drowning' death of Perry which could well be suicide because he had battled with addiction and struggled in life.
.
As usual I see the comments and wonder why it always has to be seen as a tragedy. If someone didn't like living or frequently struggled, why can't we just be happy for them? It may be a tragedy for the people who loved him but why does that take precedence over HIM and HIS feelings?

Yes, it's all one - sided as usual. It's all about them, and not about the one who is suffering.

That was my exact thought too. While it may well just have been an accident if he was drunk or on drugs, I can't help but wonder if it was intentional.

Sad to see how much he struggled with addiction and the toll it took on him. At least he can't suffer any more.

Most people are inherently selfish, it's all about themselves and not those suffering.

I don't know if it was suicide, but if it was I still see it as a tragedy - like any suicide
that's not that I think suicide should always be prevented - I want to ctb - but I always feel it's so sad that person didn't get to live and be happy
I wish Matthew Perry could've lived a longer, happier life

I agree that living a happy life would be preferable to most people but if he was unable to execute that and decided to call time on his own suffering, good for him.

It's all about the bereaved but why, if death was what he wanted. I'm saying 'if' of course because I don't know, but if he did, good for him.

Honestly, what percentage of drowning accidents in a tub are not at least passive suicides?
