"From childhood I had never believed in permanence, and yet i longed for it."
- Graham Greene, from The Quiet American.

Since i was little i never had any sort of permanence in my life, constantly moving homes/countries, constantly losing friends or loved ones for one reason or another, anything i have desperately tried to hold on to, object or living, leaves me.

I've grown tired of trying to keep anything dear to me now. anybody else with a similar story?

Yeh it's hard. Moved a lot when young..lost friends. Life is all about impermancence. That is the gift...letting it all go.

I wish whatever is watching over us could've given me the receipt for this gift. I don't want it
