Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

do you guys talk to your parents? or do you guys try to avoid them at all costs?

reason why I'm asking is long story short, my dad came home drunk the other night and he said some very offensive things about me.

I didn't really think too much about it until he said that I was useless, and I don't provide anything for the family.

my reaction at the time was just to make fun of his fucked-up tone the way he was telling me all this.

but when he realized what I did, he got up from his chair and pushed me against the wall and threatened to beat the shit out of me.

luckily, my mom stopped this argument/fight but the next day he tried to act like nothing happened even though he knew exactly happened. he wasn't that drunk apparently.

but anyways the point is that drunk or not, he wasn't supposed to approach me like that, and I don't want anything to do with him anymore.

I'm not the type of person to forgive when shit like this happens. so, I want to know what you guys/girls do when you currently live with abusive parents. do you guys ignore them?

This is not normal behaviour for parents. Your dad seriously has a problem when he approaches you like that!

I suggest you got a good talk with him when he is sober, together with your mother.

Say you don't tolerate the way he speaks about you, and that your not useless, nobody is!

If he still don't change his behaviour, seek professional help.

A home must be a safe place for everyone. Wishing you strength πŸ’ͺ

I started to avoid or ignore them years ago, mainly because of how they were insultive towards me, always finding reasons just to throw dirt in my face.

Been hit a couple of times, once when I tried to fight back after my father was trying to strangle me I was kicked out of their house.

Ignoring abusive parents does help if you ask me, whether they change or not is up to them. As long as you don't regret anything - you may try it.
