Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Emissary of the right to die.

For as long as voluntaury euthanasia and forced-lifers (pro-lifers) refuse to legalize voluntary euthanasia while also continuing to infringe and interfere against one's choice over one's own life, then those who are determined, have an unwavering and continued wish to die (end one's own suffering), will have NO incentive to ever reach out! Furthermore, those who are highly discouraged from doing so will end up taking risky means of DIY (whether successfully or unsuccessfully) adversely impacting those around them (which ironically most of 'those around them' are forced-lifers!). There are a few quotes from a comment chain I found on Reddit with regards to how suicidal people are treated and while it is not new news for us (may even be preaching to the choir here), it highlights how 'suicidal' people are treated and why they don't reach out for help!

Plus, if we make an actual process for it, it's possible it could catch some people who should/could be stopped, give them time to rethink, and direct them to needed resources.

Like, right now if someone in a bad place wants to die they are actively discouraged from reaching out because they know the entire system is designed to stop them. Thus the "logical" choice is to isolate themselves and try to find a way to do it on their own, possibly too quickly to change their mind.

It's designed to treat you like a criminal. If you reach out for help with suicidal ideation, you're GOING to be involuntarily kidnapped and likely drugged against your will by an out of control medical system.

In summary, for as LONG as those who are mindfully suicidal (aka those who are determined, made up their minds, and have an unwavering, continuous and consistent wish to die) are treated as being impulsive, wrong, discredited, they will continue to do so in secrecy through the means of DIY methods (with varying degrees of success, some better, some worse) and causing collateral damage (with or without intention) due to how society is still hostile towards all those that are deemed 'suicidal'! It doesn't matter if it is 2028, 2030, or whatever year, but until society's attitudes change, the State (government) stops interfering into each individual's personal body autonomy decisions, then the problem will persist into the future. As for the legalization of MAID or similar programs those exist only because the State and society itself does not and will not curtail their paternalistic overreach into law abiding citizens who simply want to voluntarily check out, but I digress..

Mental health services make me puke. Can't expect much else from people trained to beliece they know more about your situation than you do when they just met you.

Well written post. And fuck forced-lifers.
